Hillsboro JV Boys Take Second at Perryville JV Track Invitational; Girls Finish Ninth

The Hillsboro junior varsity track & field teams competed in a very tough Perryville JV Invitational on Tuesday.  The boys team had a strong showing, finishing second only to North County.  The girls placed ninth in the field as well.

For the boys, the Hawks compiled 101 points.  The champions from North County earned 112, so it was a very tight race for the title.  Here are the top performances for the boys on Tuesday.

For the girls, the team of Abby CouchEmily HoeseBri Langrehr, and Mia Phillips took third place in the 4×800 meter relay.  They crossed the finish line in 11:55.78.  Alyssa Lutes also took fourth place in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 56.70.
